Description
The Zug Kirsch cake was invented in 1915 by Heini Höhn on Alpenstrasse. We have been making our award-winning Zuger Kirschtorte since 1930.
For those who have never enjoyed a Zuger Kirschtorte: it contains no fruit – we only work with the spirit of the cherry! It is therefore not suitable for children!
By the way, on 25 January 2020, our confectionery made the biggest Zug Kirsch cake ever produced. More than 3000 people watched the completion of the world’s largest Zug cherry cake, with a diameter of four metres and a weight of 241 kg.
In total, the cake was soaked with 100 litres of cherry syrup.
